Music Files and Even More Lies

by Austin-Lance @ 2008-02-17 - 17:35:30

I am officially pissed off.....again

The cause? My computer.....again

The reason? I have LEGALLY downloaded some music files and DJ jingles to use when I'm working and listening through them have found about three that I could mix together to make an intro.

All of them are in MP3 format and so I decided to use the audio section of Windows Movie Maker to join them together.

Looking at the list of supported files I see that MP3's are supported, yet when I try to import the files I get a message saying that they cannot be imported...they are either not supported or are corrupted.

I KNOW that they're not corrupted because I've been playing them, and the list says that they're supported.....so I've come to a conclusion.....

My computer's lying to me again

>:XX

i have had this problem...when you down load from legal sites some of them add a code so that you cant file share...or something like that!!

Yeah very :(

xxxxxxx

Yeah, sounds like they've got Digital Rights Management attached...

Typical RIAA way of saying even when legally downloading music you're a crook...

Typical Sod's Law too I think!

Again another idea that hasn't worked, but I'm not letting it put me off. I'll just think of something else.

Cheers mate :)

Course, as they're mp3s I dunno if a different editor might work, Movie Maker is a bit clunky for editing so you could try something like Reaper, a free music editing prog?

I think if you go to majorgeeks.com it's still hosted there.
