  • When Will I Ever Learn???

I have just spent the last two hours doing the same thing that I've done every night for the past couple of weeks...

Getting my butt kicked by my computer!!!

Why do I keep playing games where the computer controls what happens to me???

I have a PC Snooker game which I've had for a long time and have played on and against virtually every machine I've had. The "balls" are computer controlled and the computers shots are ALWAYS better positioned than mine, regardless of which machine I've played it on.

Another example is Scrabble. I'm ALWAYS given crap letters or no vowels so that I can't enter anything

There's others as well, but you get the point :)

Methinks that computers are programmed to cheat!!! :p

When will I EVER learn??? :))

    Anyway take care

    See ya!!!

  • The Very Deep Question

Ok I wrote in a previous post that I was going to ask a very deep question...

    So here it is...

How do you know how love feels if you've never felt it before?

    :??:

  • Thunderbirds Aren't Go

I've just and watched "Thunderbirds" on ITV1. Sorry to say this but it was total crap!!!

This is just a personal opinion, but the biggest let down of the film was the cast.

It seems a trend at the moment that actors are cast whom are too young for the roles (e.g. Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka), and this film was no exception.

No offence to either actors, but Bill Paxton (Jeff Tracey) looked more like the sons older brother than their father, and Sophia Myles (Lady Penelope) looked more like Barbie than the experienced London agent we all know Lady P to be.

That said, there was some first class casting in the shape of Ben Kingsley as The Hood and most notably for me, Ron Cook as Parker.

Biggest travesty for me was FAB-1, what car was that?
FAB-1 was and to me always should be a Rolls Royce. Even if they couldn't afford to have a real one made, they could've been forgiven for using a fibreglass model, anything as long as it looked like a Rolls.

The Thunderbirds themselves were fairly standard effects, the rest of the cast didn't really stand out either.

All in all I've just wasted nearly two hours of my life that could've been spent doing better things watching a VERY disappointing film.

I know you're probably thinking quite rightly "why didn't you turn off then?" I agree I should've done, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt.

What is it about film-makers that makes them want to take something successful (e.g. Scooby Doo, The Dukes Of Hazzard, The Hulk) and ruin them with lousy casting choices for the film and equally lousy effects?

    *shrugs*

    See ya!!!

  • My New Guitar

I've just bought one of these...

Just hope that I can play it when it comes :))

    See ya!!!

    See ya!!!

  • Not As Planned!!!

Writing this on a friends computer, you'll see why further down.

Now I was going to use this post to ask a very deep question. However my arrogant, temperamental (and I mean mental) laptop decided to wind me up instead.

Honestly, putting up with this is like having a spoilt child in as much as if it doesn't want to do what you tell it to do, it ain't gonna do it and comes up with every excuse it can.

You keep telling it and it keeps coming up with different excuses or just sits there and ignores you. Then after you've told it numerous times (as per child), it throws a tantrum meaning it either crashes altogether or loses the project your doing.

It's been checked it with every checker I've got, cleaned up the hard drive, compressed the files (eventually) and everything's fine. Except that it still behaves like it does.

I've come to the conclusion that it's possessed by an evil child spirit from somewhere in the nether regions of Hell!!! :>

Just hope it doesn't come sneaking up on me in the middle of the night U-(

    See ya (gulps) ;)

  • Not Responding

Two words that really piss me off! >:XX

There's not a day goes by that my loony laptop doesn't give me that excuse. Roughly translated it means it can't be arsed to do what I've told it to do and I have to sit and wait until it feels like doing it.

If computers are SO smart, then why ffs can't they speak English "Sorry I can't do this at the moment because....." or something like.

To make matters worse, when you try to stop the program running, it rubs it in even more.

Press Ctrl, Alt and Del to get the task manager up and it shows you that the program is "not responding"

I know, that's why I want to stop it running

So I highlight the program and click End Task, then you get a grey box appear saying "This program is not responding"

    I KNOW!!!!!!!!! >:(

So then you click End on that box, the box disappears and the computer just sits there. Ok what's it doing now???

Suddenly (after what seems like hours) the program stops running, then you get a box saying something like "You chose to end an unresponsive program"

    NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!!!!

At the bottom of that box you get an option to report the error, claiming that a report goes to Microsoft about what happened and they'll try to find a solution

    DON'T BOTHER!!!!!!

I've sent countless error reports and absolutely sod all has been done I think it goes through all of this just to humour the user.

Please if anyone from Microsoft uses Blog (which I doubt but it's worth a try) FFS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE REPORTS I (supposedly) KEEP SENDING YOU AS I AM GETTING VERY PISSED OFF WITH THIS!!!!!

Ok rant over *breathes deeply and counts to 1000000*

    Ahem....sorry

    See ya!!!
