  • Secret Santa Post

First of all A MILLION thank yous for your help in reposting this. It had been saved and I was able to put this here again without having to strain my little grey cells too much :)

    Thank you again!!!

Right I have been given my "Secret Santa" recipient and I chose no.10

    Which is.....

    CJ592

I have never met this man, but I have read some of his many blogs from time to time

    So here goes...

CJ592 is a very funny blogger with some great opinions on life, the Universe and everything. I say it like that due to the fact that like me, he is a huge fan of tv especially sci-fi, hence the title of his blog "Enter the Void". His reviews in "Views from The Void" are great to read and better than I can write :)

He is very informative and a good descriptive writer (love the Macarthur Park one lol). I'm not surprised that he received a Bloscar in 2007.

Don't worry CJ, you're SS job is safe with me lol

Having researched him in greater detail for this post, I find that this young man from Hastings is a very likeable person with a great choice in friends on whose blogs he regularly contributes.

He says what he thinks and that's my type of person...you know where you stand with him :)

You can bet that there will be an invite speeding his way very soon.

I hope that I have written this Secret Santa post properly and that I haven't embarrassed him too much lol

    See ya!!!

  • Can Anyone Help Me Find This Music Please???

Several years ago, a relative of mine had a cassette of instrumental music (granted it was one of those red cased 99p ones from Woolworths), one of the tracks on it was called "The March Of The Mini Kilts".
As with everything however we've moved on and the tape has vanished at some point. I have since looked everywhere to try to find this music, but with no success.

I'm starting to think that I imagined it, but then again I've got the tune in my head so I must have heard it before.

    Can anyone help?

  • Funniest Quotes

Blimey three posts in one day......I'm exhausted :))

Filling in the answers to the Friday Five in the previous post has set me wondering....

What is the funniest quote you have ever heard?

Mine is from The Goon Show, an episode entitled "Dishonoured"

Announcer: Ten miles he swam. The last three were agony.
Seagoon: They were over land. Finally I fell in a heap on the ground. I've no idea who left it there. :))

    What's yours?

  • Music Files and Even More Lies

    I am officially pissed off.....again

    The cause? My computer.....again

The reason? I have LEGALLY downloaded some music files and DJ jingles to use when I'm working and listening through them have found about three that I could mix together to make an intro.

All of them are in MP3 format and so I decided to use the audio section of Windows Movie Maker to join them together.

Looking at the list of supported files I see that MP3's are supported, yet when I try to import the files I get a message saying that they cannot be imported...they are either not supported or are corrupted.

I KNOW that they're not corrupted because I've been playing them, and the list says that they're supported.....so I've come to a conclusion.....

My computer's lying to me again

    >:XX

  • Clash Of The Titans

Who do you think was the strongest...

    SAMSON or HERCULES?

    Just wondering that's all :)

    See ya!!!

  • Calling All Fashion Experts.....

This is perfect illustration of where my head is at the moment...and it's left me with a problem!!!

I was given a 100% Cashmere jumper for a Christmas present and I have worn it several times and so it needed washing.

So I put it in the machine, set it and left it...thing is, my machine's a washer/dryer and I stupidly forgot to turn the dryer part off.

    Therefore......yes you guessed it.......it's shrunk!!!

Is there any way of stretching it back???

I feel so embarrassed and stupid

    HELP!!! :(

    By hellomagazine.com hellomagazine.com - Tuesday, January 15 03:06 pm

Hollywood star Johnny Depp has paid tribute to the London hospital that saved his daughter's life - by donating a massive £1 million out of his own pocket.

Eight-year-old Lily-Rose, his daughter by long-term French girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, is thought to have contracted E.coli poisoning last year during the family's stint living in Surrey while Johnny lensed Sweeney Todd. The bug led to kidney failure and resulted in the youngster spending nine days in Great Ormond Street hospital last March.

"It was the most frightening thing we've ever been through," revealed Johnny, who scooped the best actor gong for his role in the gothic thriller at this year's Golden Globes. "It was hell. But the magic is that she pulled through beautifully."

This isn't the first time the hunky father-of-two has shown his gratitude to the hospital. He invited five lucky doctors and nurses to join him at the glitzy party thrown in conjunction with the London premiere of Sweeney Todd last week. And in November the actor had his Jack Sparrow costume flown over from LA specially, so he could treat the young patients to bedtime stories dressed as his popular Pirates Of The Caribbean character.

Disney, the makers of the Pirates movies, has pledged to donate another £10 million to the hospital, too.

"Great Ormond Street was terrific," added Johnny. "A great hospital."

    All I can say is...

    "Respect to you Johnny"

    Enough said
